Oh my fair Ladies

WIGIN    PITT    BROW    GIRLS

The wigin pitt brow girls
were women who worked in the coal mines in the UK from the 1880's until the 1910's

For safety reason they would have to wear the men's trousers under their skirts while working in the mines.

As the years progressed, the skirt quickly disapeared considering it was very hard to move around with materials restricting leg movements.
